Workshop on “Managing Social and Volunteer Organizations”

A day-long workshop involving presidents, general secretaries, and organizers of various social and voluntary organizations in Feni was held at Golden Palace Restaurant under the initiative of the Center for Governance and Development – CGD and Academy of Analytics and Research – AAR .
The workshop was presided over by Mr. Saidul Islam Islam, Executive Director of the Center for Governance and Development (CGD) and Syndicate Member of Rangamati Science and Technology University, and moderated by Jaber Bin Obayed Ullah Chowdhury, Executive Director of the Academy of Analytics and Research (AAR).
Distinguished guests present at the opening and closing ceremonies included Professor Dr. Atiar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Rangamati Science and Technology University; Gazi Habibullah Manik, Joint Convener of Feni District BNP; ANM Abdur Rahim, Publicity Secretary of District Jamaat; Harun Ur Rashid, Managing Director of Golden Palace; Ariful Amin Rizvy, Editor of Doinik Feni; Dr. Muhammad Musa Hasnat, Specialist Physician at Mugda Medical College and Hospital and General Secretary of Setara Hashem Youth Foundation; Mujibur Rahman, Industry and Commerce Secretary of District Jamaat; Solaiman Hazari Dalim, Feni Reporter of Ekhon TV; and Shakhawat Hossain, Managing Director of Maleda Group.
The workshop featured four main sessions with the following topics and trainers respectively:
“Finance and Sponsorship Management for Social Organizations” – conducted by Faisal Bhuiyan, Area Coordinator of United Trust and organizer;
“Education and Training for Social and Volunteer Organizers” – conducted by Abdullah Mohammad Hasan, President of Swapnopuri Kallyan Sangstha;
“A to Z of Program and Event Implementation” – conducted by Shariful Islam Opu;
“Organization Registration, Constitution, Organogram, Leadership and Organizational Conduct” – conducted by Saidul Islam, Executive Director of CGD.
The workshop had been conducted in two sessions and after the training AAR and CGD jointly certified almost 200 young leaders who participated in the workshop and represented their organizations.
Among others present at the workshop were Directors of AAR, Fazle Rabbi, Zamal Hossain, Hasibul Hossain Touky, Khalid Saifullah Zihad HR Executive of AAR as well as social and volunteer organizers Osman Gani Russell, Rubel Tarek, and Nurun Nabi Hasan; entrepreneur Shariful Islam; and Mahim Saeed Jisan, Chief Coordinator of YPSD.
